Gold Coast Waterways Authority improves decision-making and community engagement

Gold Coast Waterways Authority improves decision-making and community engagement

AAM's cloud-based GIS, GEOCIRRUS, and a responsive web app help GCWA communicate waterways changes and collect community feedback.

Gold Coast Waterways Authority (GCWA) proposed a set of speed limit changes to its waterways and needed to engage the community.

AAM developed a web map for GCWA that facilitates effective community engagement by allowing users to add comments and view submissions from others to foster a virtual conversation. This tool facilitates the analysis and reporting of consultation results in real time.  Read the complete case study.

It also demonstrates the ability of GIS to promote an enhanced level of stakeholder participation, leading to information that supports improved decision-making and communication.
