Marketing Executive (Spatial Sciences) - Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur
AAM is looking to add to its Business Development team based in Mont Kiara, KL. The role involves providing support to Senior Marketing Executives before and during presentations and with subsequent proposal submission. The successful candidate will also bring some industry contacts and pursue their own business opportunities as a part of the coordinated Marketing team. AAM seeks applicants with a background in spatial sciences and a passion for excellence.
Selection Criteria:
Interested candidates are encouraged to apply and address the following selection criteria:
- Work with Senior Business Development staff to create business opportunities for AAM in the Malaysian market using our network of contacts and your technical knowledge
- Contribute to or prepare appropriate quotations and tender submissions
- Provide support for and win key opportunities and undertake account management as required
- Contribution to strategic marketing developments (website, flyers, proposal templates)
- Manage existing and/or new clients and accounts
- Participate in marketing events as required – roadshows, tradeshows, workshops
- Sales experience - especially negotiation and closing
- Experience in a spatial field: GIS, LiDAR, land survey or a field related to key market sectors
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Bahasa
- Demonstrate competence developing and maintaining sound co-worker relationships
- Minimum Qualifications: Graduate in a spatial science and at least 2 years sales or technical experience, preferably in one of the following fields: spatial, engineering or environment.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintenance of Market and Competitor intelligence will require ongoing research, analysis and strategy development to maintain and grow the market share of AAM and to enter into new market sectors as they evolve. Work in the Marketing team to provide marketing support to colleagues.
Travel to targeted client sites, conferences, seminars and trade shows may be expected in order to continue to grow AAM’s client base and strengthen its presence in the market. At such events, articles or workshops may need compilation or presentation with the purpose of growing awareness of AAM’s expertise and range of services. Remuneration is commensurate with experience and industry contacts.
