AAM’s Innovative Construction Survey Solutions Featured in Australian National Construction Review

Once the tallest building in the Southern Hemisphere, Melbourne’s iconic Rialto Towers is currently in the process of a $200 million package of enhancement works and upgrades.

Two new podium buildings are being constructed and these will be connected to the existing towers at both the ground level and via sky bridges. The ground floor plaza between the buildings will be covered by a unique glazed “grid shell” canopy that will allow sunlight to illuminate the area whilst protecting its inhabitants from the elements. The buildings’ unique design and grid shell canopy required a complex and challenging build, which AAM’s team of experienced surveyors, modellers and cadastral leaders successfully completed.  AAM applied several advanced survey and modelling techniques such as 3D visualisation and 3D modelling services, terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) and cadastral survey.

AAM’s contribution to the Rialto Towers revival project is featured in this month’s Australian National Construction Review. Click here or on the image below to read the full article.
